Volunteers
Adults
The Westminster Free Clinic is always interested in hearing from individuals who wish to explore volunteer opportunities with us. A number of positions are available, including service roles assisting in interacting with donors, generating community support, maintaining public relations, and performing clinic volunteer service. Our greatest volunteer need is for more Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. The number of patients seeking assistance due to lack of insurance is increasing. With more volunteers we can open up a third mobile site in East Ventura County to address more of the need. If you are interested in working with us please contact:

Students
Over 70 local High School students from Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley and Westlake High Schools have the opportunity to volunteer and assist directly with the delivery of patient services, and also receive education, fieldtrips, training in healthcare fields, as well as mentoring and job shadowing opportunities. It is a 2-year commitment for the student, with most staying longer. The students enjoy helping their community and being part of a medical team.

*Applications for the teen training program are now closed.  We will be accepting new applications as early as March 1st, 2009.
